Today is Eidul Adha

Eid al-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى ‘Īd ul-’Aḍḥā) or the Festival of Sacrifice is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims and Druze worldwide in commemoration of the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. The devil tempted Ibrahim by saying he should disobey God and spare his son. As Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, God intervened and instead provided a lamb as the sacrifice. This is why today all over the world Muslims who have the means to, sacrifice an animal (usually a goat or a sheep), as a reminder of Ibrahim's obedience to God. The meat is then shared out with family, friends (Muslims or non-Muslims), as well as the poor members of the community. (Islam names Ishmael as the son who was to be sacrificed, whereas the Judeo-Christian name Isaac).

Eid al-Adha is one of two Eid festivals celebrated by Muslims, whose basis comes from the Quran.[1] (Muslims in Iran celebrate a third, non-denominational Eid.) Like Eid el-Fitr, Eid al-Adha begins with a short prayer followed by a sermon (khuṭba).

Eid al-Adha annually falls on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja (ذو الحجة) of the lunar Islamic calendar. The festivities last for two to three days or more depending on the country. Eid al-Adha occurs the day after the pilgrims conducting Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. It happens to be approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan.

Bunga? Orkid la ....

he he .. Sabtu ari tu pi opis bos.. wahhh Kema ade bunga orkid yang cantik .. errr.. sile rujuk kat blog Kema .. hehe. niat hati nak curi aje bawak lari .. haha tapi tak sanggup pulak .. esok jenuh nak pikul bunga tu carik cik Kema ... huhu .. so ... dengan tak malunye mintak la cara baik .. hahahaha dan cik Kema pun mengusahakannya. Itu bunga dibuat oleg Cik Rai. Cik rai ni sangat seni tangannye dalam pembikinan bunga stokin, bunga dip, decoupage dan sebagainya (hehe.. ayat buku). Oleh itu sekiranya anda berminat untuk menempah bunga dulang atau bunga telur atau apa jua jenis bunga-bungaan, sila la klik di link yang disertakan. Ecehhhh.... So... ini lah rupa bunga orkid yang dibuat oleh cik rai dan di"hadiah"kan oleh cik kema... taraaaaa

hehe... satu kepantangan yang baru .. haha... pantang dapat offer ... ekekekekeke ari tu kak reen offer me if I wanted to buy a knitted bag kit .. eceh.. knit occay .. mrasa! padahal mak tak tahu nak knit .. kekekeke dek sebab pikirkan dlm kit itu ade yarn ... yummy ... yarnnnnn *leleh air liur... ekekekekeekk* so .. tanpa pikir panjang ... mak stuju membelinya ... maka .. setelah sekian lama menanti .. sampailah bungkusan ini .... satu kit untuk membuat beg dan sebuku yarn candy .. so yummy occay dari kak reen.... adat orang berbudi .. kita berbahasa .. tanya la kak reen berapakah ongkos yang perlu di bank in ... sekali ... kak reen kata ... consider it as a present .. what ever the occasion be ... ha???? tu dia..... FREEEEEE yoooooo huhuhuhuhu ... tak tergambar perasaan .. ecehh.. serious! sedang beli pun rasa happy .. ini pulak dapat free.. hehehe... itu candy yarn kak reen cakap utk ditambah ke "bed of yarn" mak .. hahahahah tidur sangat lena occay ... i like .. i like .. terima kasih kak reen! yippe!

Beading for Cik Jah

Last Friday Jijah asked me if I can do some beading for her. She wanted to wear the baju for Eid Adha. I'm a bit reluctant at first because of my condition; afraid I can't finish them on time. But hey! if you try hard enough ... you can... ecehhhhh here are the baju .. simple patterns... Pattern inspired by our ladybeads - cik ain.

This is my from rheatheylia . I love the bear so much that this is second time I made him. Remember Paddle Pop Bear? This time his cousin comes in purple.

Last but not least; Mimi teh cat .. heeh sesuka hati aje bagi nama ... she's also from a free pattern I found online. Kudos to the owner.
